These babes grip well on ice, and thanks to the Gore-tex membrane remains impervious to the wet. As comfortable as a trainer, they hug your foot while the big and bouncy Boost sole with Torsion bar helps push you up the mountains. Oh, and unlike a traditional walking boot, they crush down small for easy packing.
There is a saying that the desert tells a different story every time you venture into it. And in the case of Jordan, it is more than true. Jordan is more than a big desert. Those who enter its wadis will discover a hidden world of cool waterfalls and lush vegetation. Are all of Jordan’s towns alike? Just a visit to the city of As-Salt will change your mind. Is Jordan a country of Muslim Arab culture? Yes, it is, but if you dig a little, you will find communities of Bedouins and Druze, Christians, Circassians, or even Chechens living peacefully together.
I have had the good fortune to travel to Jordan three times in the last five years. That has allowed me to experience the welcoming hospitality of all the people I’ve met on my travels. Jordan is definitely one of the safest countries I have ever travelled to.
In November 2023, I travelled with WideOyster’s own photographer, Frits Meyst, to explore the unknown Jordan. Stray with us away from the classic travel route in Jordan, beyond Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea. In this edition, follow us over Jordan’s less-travelled roads. Discover its less photographed landscapes and experience its fantastic diversity. It’s well worth it—we guarantee it!
