About Brazil
Brazil is as diverse as the colors of Carnival, with the parade’s distinctive pulse and rhythm filling every crevice of the country all year round. The seas are brilliantly iridescent, and warm faces line the sandy shores. Brazil’s colors are unforgettable, from the vivid flora of rainforests to the vivacious suburbs.
Best time to travel
There is a high water season (January-June) and a low water season (July-December). Each season has its own advantages and disadvantages for tourists. The low water season is typically the time of year when the most wildlife can be seen. But, if you are looking for a more relaxing experience, consider traveling during its low water season.
Facts about Manaus
Manaus is the principal city of the North Region of Brazil. It is the capital of Amazonas and considered as the entrance door to the biggest ecological reservation in the planet: The Amazon rainforest.

I’ve been working as a travel journalist since 2004, and you could say that I’ve been pretty spoiled when it comes to travel. Through all that travel, my colleagues and I have become experts in identifying truly great travel products, expertly executed by local entrepreneurs. The trips we share in this new section are our favorite trips ever. The one we’re sharing today, put together by Vanessa Marino, is one of my favorites.
Amazonia
Amazonia is the largest river basin in the world, and its forest stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the east to the tree line of the Andes in the west. The forest widens from a 200-mile (320-km) front along the Atlantic to a belt 1,200 miles (1,900 km) wide where the lowlands meet the Andean foothills. The immense extent and great continuity of this rainforest is a reflection of the high rainfall, high humidity, and monotonously high temperatures that prevail in the region.
