Winter special

“And cold? Cold doesn’t exist, only bad clothing”

The most beautiful winter destinations for skiing and sailing. Eh…sailing?

Dear reader,

When you say winter sports, one often thinks of skiing or snowboarding. But destinations often have much more to offer in the winter than just sports itself. For example, Livigno is not only tax-free, so shopping is wonderful for the wallet there, but it is also a delicious culinary paradise. And in Innsbruck, you are not just on the slopes in a jiffy, but it is also just an amazing city to discover. And of course, winter does not only have to mean the Alps. There are so many beautiful snow clad places on this planet that are cool to visit. Yellowstone Park in the US for example. Not a spot you’d think of as a winter destination, but it turns out to be really beautiful this time of year. Check it out yourself in this edition of WideOyster Magazine. Or how about Antarctica? Where it is winter, even in summer. We sailed there with the Bark Europa over the treacherous Drake’s Passage, in the wake of the great discoverers. Wanna come aboard?

And the cold? There is no such thing as the cold. Just bad clothing.

Enjoy the read and the view.
