There is a saying that the desert tells a different story every time you venture into it. And in the case of Jordan, it is more than true. Jordan is more than a big desert. Those who enter its wadis will discover a hidden world of cool waterfalls and lush vegetation. Are all of Jordan’s towns alike? Just a visit to the city of As-Salt will change your mind. Is Jordan a country of Muslim Arab culture? Yes, it is, but if you dig a little, you will find communities of Bedouins and Druze, Christians, Circassians, or even Chechens, living peacefully together.

I have had the good fortune to travel to Jordan three times in the last five years. That has allowed me to experience the welcoming hospitality by all people I’ve met on my travels. Jordan is for sure one of the safest countries I have ever traveled in.
