Feel like a Royal
Matahari Beach Resort & Spa
Do you ever feel the urge to be treated like the king or queen that you are? Check out this Pearl of Paradise on Bali.
Arriving at Matahari Beach Resort & Spa you have the feeling of entering a Balinese palace. Set in a lush tropical botanical garden of 4 hectares you’ll find 16 bungalows with 32 rooms, two restaurants, an enormous swimming pool and not to forget the multi-award-winning Parwathi Spa. All are made and decorated by local artists full of beautiful stone carvings representing scenes from the Ramayana epos. The hotel (the only five stars in the region) is situated in the lesser known (read lesser touristic) north of Bali in a secluded bay with black sand.
Start your day with an hour free yoga session followed by a sumptuous breakfast, then spend the day relaxing at the beach or by the side of the swimming pool. For small children, there is a separate basin. Or book one of the several day tours to discover the rich nature and cultural sights of the region. For the more active ones you can take a bicycle and visit the surrounding valleys with small villages and several impressive temple complexes. Or book a diving or snorkelling tour to the waters around Menjangan, part of the Bali Barat natural park. It is one of Indonesia’s top 5 diving destinations. After an exciting day, you may visit the Parwathi Spa for a relaxing massage. The Spa is not only one of the most beautiful on the island, but also one of the best. On their extensive list of treatments, you’ll find a four-hands and even a six-hands massage, with technics based on the century-old royal Balinese massages.
You’ll find yourself completely rejuvenated, and now it is time for an aperitif at the Wayan Bar. Try one of their tropical cocktails or mocktails. Another highlight of your stay is the dinner at the restaurant Dewi Ramona or the Leon Beach Bistro with a view over the Java Sea. After a day full of impressions and inspirations, it is time to retire to your bungalow with an outside shower and dream away in our giant bed.
