We’re back on!
We can travel. Europe is yellow again. In this edition, a few tips for last-minute decision-makers: central Sweden and Slovenia, in search of adventure close to home
For anyone with even the slightest wanderlust in their soul, the past year and a half have been quite trying. Fortunately, it seems that we have all finished the job. And that also means that your longing for the trip can finally be quenched.
We love Sweden. That country is so enormous and relatively few people live there. Only twenty per square kilometer on average. That means that you literally don’t have to meet anyone if you don’t want to. Fortunately, Sweden is also colored yellow again, and that means we can go.
All of Sweden is beautiful. But from central Sweden onwards, nature rules. And with it all the animals; bears, wolves, badgers, beavers, eagles, buzzards, and moose. If you want to and have an eye for it, you can find them all there.
The journey to Sweden alone is a wonderful adventure. You can travel by car of course, but with the Stenaline ships it all becomes a lot more fun and relaxed. We took the boat from Kiel (D) to Götenburg: good food on board, a beer, a good night’s sleep in your cabin, and the next day you drive into Sweden as fresh as a kitten.
In this edition, you can read all about our adventures in Central Sweden: from canoeing in the province of Västmanland, via the most beautiful places to stay to a variety of safaris to discover all the animals of Central Sweden. And as a bonus, for those who prefer to travel a little further south, a nice long read about the Alpe Adria Trail in beautiful Slovenia.
You might have packed your bag already and are ready to embark on your own travel adventure. In that case, we wish you a great and healthy holiday.
Enjoy it. You have earned it. (-:
