The Wild World of Wanderlust
For this edition we laughed in the face of danger and chuckled at the thought of comfort. Buckle up as we take you into a whirlwind tour of some of the planet’s coolest places
Eagle Hunters of the Altai Mountains
First up, let’s tip our hats (or should we say falconry gloves) to the eagle hunters of Western Mongolia. These hardy folks have been hunting foxes, wolves, and marmots with golden eagles for thousands of years. Yes, that’s me in a traditional eagle hunter attire, trying to look cool.
Osttirol
Next, we jet off to Osttirol, Austria’s alpine heartthrob. Authentic and vibrant, this region is like the sound of music, minus the singing nuns and plus some hardcore hiking. If you’re looking to embrace the alpine essence, this is the place. Just don’t forget to pack your lederhosen and an extra lung for all that fresh mountain air.
Travel Hero
Now, let’s take a moment to appreciate our Travel Hero, Vanessa Marino. Her wise words remind us that travel isn’t just about snapping selfies with statues. It’s about goodwill, patience, and having the vision to leave a positive impact on the places and people we visit.
Pearls of Paradise
Onward to the Dingle Peninsula, where the roads can be as wide as a diet soda can and the views are worth every sweaty-palmed moment of the drive. Our pearl this time is Atlantic Bay Rest, a treasure trove of cozy coves, where the wind howls and the sea smashes the cliffs.
Greenland Adventure
Lastly, let’s sail away with photographer Frits Meyst, who braved Greenland’s katabatic winds and crashing glaciers aboard the sleek Tilvera. Facing polar bears and pack ice? Just another Tuesday in the life of an adventurer. Join him in a place where Mother Nature is the boss, and humans are just guests and potential food.
You might say, that this edition has it all: adventure, tradition, and a touch of insanity. The best things in life.
Happy trails, amigos and amigas, enjoy the summer.
